Local Information

The conference will take place in the Hampton Roads Region, located in Virginia's so called Historic Triangle. The Hampton Roads Region has played a major role in American history. Jamestown was the home of the first permanent English settlement in the New World. Decisive battles of the American Revolution were fought in Yorktown. These historic cities are national treasures giving current visitors a perspective of the foundation of America. Furthermore, NASA Langley Research Center in Hampton has been instrumental in shaping aerospace history for more than eight decades. Established in 1917 as the first national civil aeronautics laboratory, NASA Langley has become a world-class center for aeronautics, earth science, space technology and structures and materials research.
