Lunch Session Information
On Monday, August 26 through Thursday, August 29, general lunch sessions will take place between 12:15 pm – 1:15 pm and will feature guest speakers on a variety of topics. Planned speakers during the lunches include: Representative Elaine Luria (invited) from Virginia’s second Congressional district, Michelle Munk from NASA Langley Research Center, Joe Gasbarre from NASA Langley Research Center, and Jeanne Willoz-Egnor from the Newport News Mariner’s Museum.
All conference attendees are permitted to attend the lunch speaker sessions; however, no outside food is permitted inside the session. Pre-purchased lunch tickets are required for hotel-provided food. The deadline to purchase lunches has now passed.
Welcome Reception Information
On Monday, August 26, an Opening Reception will be held on starting at 6:00pm at the City Center Marriott. Come mingle and network with fellow attendees while enjoying a reception-style hors d’oeuvres dinner including BBQ pork sliders, mini chicken cordon bleu, spicy beef empanadas, crispy pita with red pepper chickpea puree and cucumber relish, vegetable spring rolls, cookies, brownies, iced tea and water. Cash bar will be available.

Keynote Dinner Information
On Wednesday, August 28, a Keynote Dinner banquet will be held at the City Center Marriott. All registered TFAWS attendees and their guests are welcome to attend the banquet. Dinner tickets are $23 per person, and a cash bar will be available. The evening speaker will be Dr. Kunio Sayanagi, Assistant Professor at Hampton University Department of Atmospheric and Planetary Sciences.
The deadline to purchase tickets for the keynote dinner has now passed, and tickets are no longer available for purchase.
Evening Networking Events
On Tuesday, August 27, TFAWS attendees will have the opportunity to go on an exclusive Sunset Boat Cruise via the Miss Hampton Boat Cruise in Hampton, VA, from 5:30 pm to 8:30 pm. Tickets will be $35 per person, and includes catering. A cash bar will be available. The deadline to purchase tickets for the boat cruise has now passed, and tickets are no longer available for purchase.
On Thursday, August 29, a Networking Social will be held at Tradition Brewing Company in Newport News, VA at 7:00 pm. No additional fees are associated with this social event; food and drink can be purchased by individuals on site.

Room assignments will be shown on the final version of the agenda. 15-minute breaks will occur daily at 10:00am and 3:30pm.
